Terms and Conditions

1. General

At Funky Readers, our goal is to keep things straightforward. The terms and conditions outlined below do not affect your statutory rights.

2. Ordering and Delivery of Your Purchase

  • All orders must be placed online through our website or over the telephone.
  • Delivery is made via Royal Mail 1st Class 24 hour tracked and your items should arrive within 3 working days of the purchase date.
  • If your order has not arrived within 3 working days please contact us and we will make enquiries on your behalf, however please note that Royal Mail only considers the parcel lost after 28 working days have passed.
  • Orders of £35 or more qualify for free postage within the UK unless a special delivery option is chosen. Orders under £35 are subject to a postage and packaging fee of £4.99 (inclusive of VAT).
  • For European and international deliveries, shipments are made via Royal Mail, and the shipping cost is a standard fixed rate of £15 for Europe and £18 for the rest of the world

3. Payment

  • We accept payments via major credit and debit cards through our secure PayPal gateway and with our secure credit card company Nochex.
  • Prices for all products include VAT at the prevailing rate and are charged in sterling (£).

4. Returns and Refunds

We're confident you'll love your purchase, but if you're not satisfied for any reason, here's what to do:

  • Email us or call us first to explain the issue (07984457786) or fill in the returns form on the website. If it cannot be resolved, simply return the item unused, undamaged, in a saleable condition, and in its original packaging within 30 days.
  • A full refund, excluding postage and packaging fees, will be issued. For faulty items, we will refund any return postage and packaging costs incurred.
  • It is advisable to obtain proof of postage when returning items, as we require this in the event the item is lost in transit.

Special Holiday Returns Policy: Purchases made from November 30th can be returned in a resale able condition with original packaging for a refund until January 31st.

5. Privacy

We are registered with the Data Protection Agency and are fully committed to safeguarding your personal information.

  • The details we retain include your name, address, email, and contact phone number.
  • We do not access or store your credit card information. All payment transactions are securely handled through PayPal’s and Nochex encrypted server.
  • Occasionally, we may contact you via email or post with updates on our products and special offers. If you’d prefer not to receive these updates, just let us know.

6. Complaints

We aim for satisfaction every time, but if something goes wrong, please contact us via email or phone with full details of your complaint. We’ll do everything we can to resolve the issue quickly and effectively.

7. Description of Goods and Services

We strive to provide accurate descriptions of all items on our website. However, small variations in descriptions, photographs or specifications may occur due to adjustments made by manufacturers of the components used in our goods.
